Seniors are a rich part of our communities. We need them as much as they need us. Our goal is to let them know that we value their knowledge, their experience and their love. Let them know they matter—reach out:
• Share your musical talents at one of Atlanta’s elderly homes
• Read to and discuss your favorite book with a senior
• Deliver and/or share a meal
• Provide transportation to the grocery
• Spend time playing a game of cards, bingo or create crafts
According to the National Center for Health Statistics, more than 50 percent of nursing home residents have no close family, and the number is growing.
